The Land Conservation District Committee is concerned with all Landcare issues in the district as well as educating the wider community about the rangelands.
All landholders and other interested people are welcome at our meetings which are held generally twice a year. The LCDC organises field days, workshops and visiting speakers on issues of concern to landholders. Our main project at the moment is the "Murchison River Restoration Project," involving 8 neighbouring stations that are in the process of fencing 330kms of the river on both sides in order to implement specific management regimes including total grazing management.
