At last we managed to gather together after many cancelled meetings due to the fantastic summer rains. We had a very productive Arts Council AGM and General Meeting and even though there were so few of us, we covered a very diverse range of items. These included thoughts on how to improve this years Christmas function so that it is a more enjoyable event for ladies of the community who devote so much time and energy to make it one of the most looked forward to events on our calendar. The Polocross catering was discussed at length along with the Variety club catering for early September.

It was decided unanimously that the group would like to Sponsor a child from South Africa. Watch this page and we will include all the information as it comes to hand.

Friday was also a sad day for us all, as with the reading of the last AGM minutes, it was fondly remembered that this day was held at Wooleen with our dear friend Helen Pollock who passed away on March 6th of this year. She was an integral part of our Committe and we all hope to honor her through a design and installation of a Mural on the Sports club outer wall. This will be our 2006 project.

Murchison Arts Council gather every third Friday of the month, the same day the Shire Council meet and all community members are welcome to join us.
