Local Government (Council Meetings) Local Law 2017

Notice is hereby given that Council proposes to review the local law relating to Council Meetings. 

The purpose of this local law is to provide the rules for the conduct of meetings of the Council, Committees and electors. 

The effect of this local law is to result in:

  1. a) the orderly and effective conduct of meetings;
  2. b) greater community understanding of the meeting process;
  3. c) better decision making by the Shire; and
  4. d) better outcomes from decisions made.

A copy of the proposed Local Government (Council Meetings) Local Law 2017 may be inspected at the Shire of Murchison Administration Office 3007 Carnarvon-Mullewa Road Murchison WA. (Also accessible via link below)

In accordance with S3.12 (3)(a) of the Local Government Act 1995, submissions about the proposed Local Government (Council Meetings) Local Law 2017 may be made to:

Submissions must be received prior to Friday 9 February 2018.
